I almost didn’t bother with a YOP update on my Stormy Skies sweater. I finished the 2nd sleeve, and started the remainder of the body with the last full ball. Baring catastrophe, I should finish up this week (so my week 7 update SHOULD have a FO). I didn’t take a picture of both sleeves, but took a snap of the body progress on Sunday.

I went and saw the Barbie movie with my daughter. We both loved it, but for very different reasons. I wanted to bring my sweater to work on, but the sleeve tracking didn’t make for a movie theater friendly project. I cast on a new hat from some stash yarn from Polymorph Dye Works in a spooky autumn colorway. I should have pictures of that next week too. I have the ribbing completed, but haven’t decided if I’m going to fair isle, cable, or texture pattern some kind of fall related pattern. I’m toying with the options of skulls, ghosts, cats, and mushrooms. But not all of those. Sometimes I have a fully formed picture of what I want as my starting point, sometimes an amorphous idea, sometimes a vague feeling. This project is somewhere between the last two. Decisions decisions!

Your Halloween hat ideas sound fun. I enjoy my “autumn” cowl that I made last year. I’ll look forward to your sweater FO.

Oh I might be inspired to knit up some of the numerous Halloween project patterns I appear to have stockpiled.

I’m behind so you’ve probably made your decision now. I’ll look forward to what fall theme you have picked.
