Week One: 25/26 YOP

Let’s try again.

Welcome. This is a Year of Projects post. A Ravelry adjacent collective of crafters that blog their craft plans and the hijinks that ensue when plans go off the rails.

Maybe that’s just me.

My plans: 1.) restart my blog. Seriously. Working full time has really thrown a wrench into writing about being creative. I’m still doing creative things, I just don’t talk about them. 2.) get my pattern pipeline flowing again. 3.) Finish all 4 sweaters and the socks I have on the needles.

My current active projects:

Wave Stitch Crochet Throw.

Yarn obtained during Joann’s going out of business sale. Currently about 50-60% complete. Progress solely based the blue, which is my shortest total yardage. Poor planning by me.

Sweater

Will be short sleeves. About 3/4 through the yoke. Using yarn over increases flanking a central cable raglan. 3×218 yards variegated, 1×218 yards “black”. Yarn was a 2025 MD Sheep and Wool purchase from A Hundred Ravens. No pattern. Just making it up as I go along.

Other non active projects:

Fingering Weight sweater with failed fair isle.
A sewing project that is in limbo. Jelly roll pieced bag. Needs to be pieced.

No pictures of: ribbon tank, socks, sweater that might need back surgery.

  1. So good to “see” you again. I’ve checked your blog periodically just to see if there’s been a update. The jelly roll bag looks so cute. Making up a sweater as you go …. you are so much braver than me. The wave stitch throw looks great. I love that wide/thin flow.
