Welcome January! We are 5 days into the new year, and well, it feels just like last year. It being January, I decided to do the Instagram January picture thing again this year. I post a pic of the yarn-y things I’m wearing each day. With the cold temperatures finally hitting here, I have LOTS of opportunity to wear my hand mades. I just have to remember to take pictures while I’m still wearing them.

In addition to chronicling my yarn-y garments, I’ve been working on my new sweater project. I finished off the yoke yesterday and divided off the sleeves. I’m about 3 inches into the body. Both yarns are DEEP stash (2011), and the sweater fulfills the following YOP goals: Work 200 balls of yarn, Make sweater(s) from stash, design project. Yarns: Noro Silk Garden and Stonehedge Fiber Mills Shepherd’s Wool

This project is taking up most of my creative time. Soon it will be too large to be portable, and I’ll need a small portable project to work up at kids’ activities and while on the treadmill at the gym. Likely a hat.
I have also tried a new Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe from the Milk Bar: Kids Only cookbook. They have milk powder in them. They are good. Chocolate Chip is not my favorite cookie, but my spouse said they are good. He’s the expert.
Here are some more cute pictures of our cat: Telliam Quincey (Telly). He finally has a middle name!
